I think it will gap higher at the open(good for a contest shortpick) because it is getting part of the bailout, but will drop this week when the realization sets in that now the Fed govt and its preferred shares steps ahead of the common shareholders.

MGA (short)
The auto industry is where the action is this coming week with the Senate opening the issue for discussion. I foresee expectations may be high in the beginning of the week and F and GM could pop. However, in typical congressional form bickering will dominate and nothing productive will actually transpire this week and the autos deflate back the their lows or lower by the weekend.

I was going to reverse my position on GM but I see it has been taken. No news is good news for GM. Any bailout will come with handcuffs. No bailout and they are where they are. Massive debt and book price per share is extremely negative. Not to mention the obviously bad economic fundamentals. Any bounce and people will sell.
change my position to

i am sure you are talking about short!!
after i analysis this weeks Economical indicators i got that every importent data suppoed to show the weakness of the economy, therefore marekt would declie throughout the week.
however, technially there is a huge space for the marekt to go up for a adjustment in the mid of the week.
so go for short now or you may wait till tuesday to get a better opening.
thanks,

Well, the first post in this thread (http://www.onlinetradersforum.com/showthread.php?t=67742) has all the rules you need to know. And perhaps you think this if Friday like I did for a few minutes today - my kids are off school tomorrow and the next day, so I thought it was the weekend. The contest has two more days to go, actually! Plus I'm only in second place.
