Looks like Wally World is getting a headstart on post-Turkey day sales aka Black Friday with a Compaq V5305WM laptop for $398 starting this Sunday. Apparently there will be at least 15 per store and a limit of one per customer. I couldn't find any specs on the unit but I'd venture to say it'll probably be bare bones AMD turion 64 with 256 MB memory, not exactly a speed demon, but it might be good enough for a 7 or 8 year old.
Adventurous souls that are brave enough to try and snag one may want to don some head gear and boxing gloves beforehand. If you need some help, I can be found in the Sporting Goods dept buying ammo, when I am there:p
