Down over $9 this morning on news of CEO change. Could this be a buying opportunity? I wonder what Cramer is going to say about this stock? Do we back the truck up?

I don't know, the guy who made a mess of KMart and has no retail experience was just put in charge of Sears and Lampert made himself head of marketing and sales, which he knows nothing about. Just because it's down, doesn't mean it's a deal.

I can still remember Cramer with "SHLD" on his knuckles, kinda like the "bum fight" dude. Lampert in charge was the reason Cramer liked SHLD so well. Now who knows? SELL SELL SELL. The stock really never did much at all that I can remember since making it on the fists of Cramer. Maybe it will bounce back after the new guy speaks. Speaking for myself I dumped it yesterday, BY ACCIDENT and avoided the drop.

Still going down. I wish Jim would give an update on this.

It may be a land bank, but it's primary focus is being a retail store. Since the knuckle show I've stopped by the new Sears Essential a few times. This is a technique Cramer mentions in his book. Going to the store before the sales numbers are released can give you an edge on it they will beat their forecast.

And like Herb Greenburg reported - nobody is shopping here. It's going to take a last a year to get people into this store. I'm disagreeing with Cramer on this one. SHLD is going nowhere soon.

Thought I had deja-vu the first of the week when he said something to the effect that he was declaring here and now that SHLD has bottomed, but that was the almost the exact same he said almost word for word over two months ago when it was around $140. Fool me once, shame on him, fool me twice, shame on me.

I hope the stock keeps dropping. Still an intriguing play.

Must admit, I'm getting intrigued again also, optimus. Never thought I would ever be interested again, but if it goes below $110 and we find that Rita didn't destroy much, what do you think? That is the area where it was in Nov of 2004.

Up $6 today. I'm intrigued to know what will happen to it after they report their next lack of quarterly earnings. Wonder if the weather excuse will hold up, again. I would take a bump and run, if I held it, but I do not understand why anyone would buy this stock, in the first place. Have they even sold off any of those prime locations in dead malls, yet? What's happening with the lawsuit the mom and pop Sears Appliance owners filed for breach of contract? Are their poorly paid employees upset that Fast Eddie froze their pensions to increase the bottom line, when he makes a billion dollars? Enquiring minds want to know. LOLOL

As an after thought, Cramer did mention someone buying $30 Million dollars worth of shares at around the $118-120 level on today's show. I didn't catch the name though. I was at a Honda Dealership trying to get my car's oil changed when I heard him talking about it in the waiting room television. I feel something big is gonna happen to this company, whether its going to be a big flop or whether its gonna make us a ton of money, something big is gonna happen.

This just came out in the news...

* Sears will make further cuts to retiree medical benefits, citing rising health-care costs and competition from rival retailers.

Competition from rival retailers, my...

Anyone who holds this stock for long is going to get dumped on just like those old people. Count on it.

(Edit: I have deleted the rest of my soap box rant because I was really mad when I wrote it. Still am, but obviously, no one shares my opinion or wants to hear anything about him. You guys just act like nothing is going on with that company, fine.)

I did buy my washer and dryer from Sears Appliance, but the guy refused to hook it up right, even when I was standing there noticing it and telling him to. He made the doors both open to the inside, so it's hard to transfer laundry from one side to the other. It was stupid, rude and inconvenient and when my husband got home, he said "he did, too, have enough hose to do it the right way." I know he did, he wouldn't listen to me and didn't care. The installer also did the same thing in two more houses, I noticed. Bring more hose, if you can't work with that length, you idiot!

Nicer washer and dryer for my purposes than what was available elsewhere around here, though, this one is just right. I love it!!!

Stock moving down with the whole retail sector today. This stock is in the "house of pain". I wonder if there are any insiders selling :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

Here's a good website for finding up to date insider transactions:

The other places I was getting the info from didn't post transactions until days afterwards.

First off Cramer is in this stock for $55.00, he bought it back when it was kmart., he doesn't have much to lose, he is up so he will talk it until he's blue in the face, in fact I never shop at sears or kmart, so I never bought this stock, my mom worked at kmart years ago when that was a 100.00 stock, (OHHHHH Kmart went bankrupt (i know spelling))))) didn't it????????/ yes of course it did, they don't know how to run a company.... at her retirement her stock was worth 30.00, shld will follow down mark my words, the holidays are huge, if it doesn't show 4th quarter good results it's not going to make it

Hey I just remembered I needed a washer and real fast., okay went to lowes, too busy, not one person was available to wait on me, then I thought Sears is NEVER BUSY, sure enough I walked into sears and bought a washer in 10 seconds, know one was there.... that is no reason to own a stock.... sears is a dieing store around my area

I don't foresee SHLD doing well on organic growth (growth from within the company), they'll need to make some smart aquisitions in order for the stock to move higher. I just don't think Sears & Kmart stores are good companies.
