SIGM long again

Sigm has been crushed over the last half a year due to a large amount of shorting. As of April 10th 34.9% of the float was short. There is a fear that Sigma is going to lose market share in several of its markets (HDTV chips, blu-ray chips, IPTV set top box chips). I believe the fear is founded, as currently Sigma has a majority share in most of its markets, with several new competitors recently coming in to the market. However, these markets are also rapidly growing (blu-ray has now become the standard for HD movies).
Sigma has exceeded estimates for the past 9 or 10 quarters but guided lower this quarter due to an over inventory at one of their largest customers (MOT). Unfortunately, management doesn't appear to be strong on the PR front and avoids guiding for more than one quarter. Several analysts have picked up on this and have made somewhat questionable statements that have driven the stock down hard.

The stock seems to have found a temporary footing at current levels. With the current amount of shorts, any good news could send this higher, or again lower with bad news for that matter.

As far as TA goes, I don't feel extremely comfortable at reading charts yet, but I don't see anything glaring that points to this stock moving higher immediately (other than the belief that it has been way oversold the past half year). There is clearly still a downward long term trend in the chart which is why I chose this as a fantasy pick and not a real money pick...avoid catching the falling knife and all that.
