World Poker Tour Enterprises.
OK this stock has gotten murdered (read: down 50% over the last 2 months) but does anyone think it could be ready to rebound?
Here's why I think it will. For anyone that follows poker, you know the WSOP episodes are starting on ESPN tonight, and will continue for several months. While I think this would normally regenerate interest in television poker, I think the key thing to look at is who will be on these televised shows.
If the people on the shows were not famous, I would say stay away from it. However, the upcoming shows will feature many of the top pros winning tournaments such as Phil Ivey, Doyle Bruson as well as last years main event champion Greg Raymer going deep in the main event again.
I think the big name pros winning on television will make the casual fan more interested in watching televised poker again. Does anyone else agree with me and see this happening?
I'm probably gonna buy a minimal amount and see if this pays off in October-December just after the WSOP is done being televised.
