ive been having this thought for almost a year now and was wondering if anyone might be interested in starting a charitable foundation with me. im going to cover the cost to get it up and running (including paperwork, ein, and state id) then linking up with with someone like the national heritage foundation and create a grant or donate to a tax exempt org
if anyone already has one up and running let me know or if you could help with a couple of questions let me know..
looking to get a group together or do it myself, was wondering if all profit had to be donated in order to be tax exempt or could a portion be donate and the remainder be kept in the fund for growth?
probably looking to start it off with 10k personally and if its done as a group effort, im thinking telephone conference calls every friday to discuss ideas for the upcoming week and how to allocate the cash for each trade - as more longer term holds of at least a week, rather than actively traded on a daily basis unless a couple of people want to assume that responsibility for a portion of the funds...
anyway, just an idea floating in my head for a while and after todays huge profits... i want to act sooner on starting one up. if anyones interested in helping out in any way.. let me know :top:
