For some days now, I have been having trouble aquiring this site. Everything else I try to do works good, but at times I have given up on getting here. I thought, if I just stay in here, then won't have to worry, but even then I get freezes. I didn't even know if my last reply was posted or not, because site was frozen, filling in the little green box for over 5 minutes. And when it finally did post, a message came on telling me I could not post so soon after my last post, even though I was not attempting a post. This usually happens late in the trading day. Just curious if it was happening to anyone else.
I just went to the section where I thought I had missed the submit button because there was no reaction, so I hit it again and double posted.

The site has gone from a few visits a day when we started on June 22 to as many as 20,000 page views a day now. I will look into this (although I access the site all day and haven't noticed any speed problems) - maybe we have to upgrade our servers.
What speed connection are you using, xboilermaker?
Anybody else have any complaints?

That happens to me, too, although I don't notice it happening at the same time of day. Sometimes I can't get on at all.

I use cable and only had a problem on this site once when, I think everyone was posting all at the same time.

I don't really understand everything about speed, but I know that I don't have the cheapest DSL offered. I can download files at around 30 kb/s and can upload at up to 13 kb/s. Most of the time here it is instantaneous, except for mid afternoon. Like I said above, it caused me to double reply to DW's post about what scares us today, for nothing happened when I hit the submit button, so I hit it again. Annoying, but not the end of the world. I guess most everyone isn't having problems. Could have something to do with the Puerto Rican telephone co.

I haven't really had problems, but if I did I'd blame it on the Fed.

I've heard Booyahoo is shorting your download speeds.

I was online a few days at 3:30 to sell some stock and thought I would check the boards while waiting for my sells to go thru, I couldn't access the site at all, I just assumed everyone was hogging the board.. but I do have cable and I really needed to read while waiting, I'm so impatient...

It really helps me to know whether or not we have a problem to hear these comments - so far it doesn't seem to be a widespread problem - these kind of things can be caused by bottlenecks on the Internet that have nothing to do with this site. I have the best possible hosting and servers I can afford, and we have our own IP address. I am upgrading the forum software in the next few days, which may create a speed impovement.
Every 2 or 3 days the servers crash and it seems to be because the cache overflows - I am working on this probem with our hosting provider, because until we restart the server the site becomes unavailable.
Anybody else - let me know if you have experienced any problems, or feel the site is too slow.

I've experienced similar moments when I couldn't seem to get a page at all. But mostly it's really good.
